We are an established, privately owned company, a market leader within the ‘Away from Home’ paper industry. Providing a range of high quality disposable products, a professional service and the flexibility to ensure continuous customer satisfaction.
Peter Grant Papers employs more than 170 staff, with manufacturing operations throughout the UK. Our Headquarters are situated in Telford, Shropshire. We market and distribute products across the UK and Northern Europe and in 2008 had an annual turnover in excess of £19 million.
Operating and owning our paper mill, conversion site and transport fleet Peter Grant Papers has the necessary infrastructure to deliver high quality paper products combined with some of the highest service levels in the industry.
Our in-depth knowledge and involvement across a diverse industry base, provides us with the expertise to offer sound advice and recommend realistic and efficient solutions. With an impressive range of products and services, our skilled team of technical experts, marketing and commercial staff are on hand to offer advice, guidance and information on all aspects of disposable hygiene products.
Paper Conversion – Telford
At our purpose built factory we will convert over 20,000 tons of paper per year utilising 16 specialised paper converting machines. These machines produce over 350 differing rolled, folded paper and non-woven products.
At Telford we fully integrated the business, incorporating all aspects of the R&D cycle, manufacturing and sales and marketing functions. The business is highly process driven and operates to the stringent quality and business control standards.
Peter Grant Papers operates its own fleet of vehicles to ensure maximum control over the quality and delivery of our products. Our central location provides easy access to the all motorway and docks facilities ensuring our products can be distributed nationally and internationally via our 120,000-sq/ft warehousing and logistic facilities at Telford.
Paper Mill – Lancaster
Owning its own paper mill gives Peter Grant Papers the flexibility to supply a varied product portfolio as the mill division can produce parent reels of varying sizes, strengths and grammages. Owning our own paper mill also offers our customers a continuity of supply that others find hard to match.
Our paper mill is set alongside the river Lune in Lancaster and the versatile paper machine produces recycled tissue using 100% post consumer waste. Each machine is computer programmed to exacting tolerances and the paper production process is continually monitored with a sophisticated in-line scanner that ensures constantly high quality in terms of tensile strength, weight, thickness and stretch.
To fulfil our environmental commitments, we carefully control the production process; this is a key factor in ensuring the high microbiological quality and hygiene standard of the converted products. This in turn allows the mill to concentrate on achieving peak performance and maximum output.
The success of our mill is based on listening to our customers needs and reacting to them ensuring our towelling and tissue paper is soft, absorbent, and sufficiently strong delivering good run ability qualities for the converting process.
Sales Support
Peter Grant Papers has a field based sales force of National Account and Regional Managers supported by our dedicated customer services team, based in Telford, to ensure we deliver your expectations and “keep our promises”.
Our National Account, Regional Managers and customer Service team work with our network of partnered distributors to build long lasting working relationships. This allows us to develop and mutually understand each other’s business and provide benefits otherwise impossible with a simple supplier-customer relationship.
